REDWAVE XRF-G
The REDWAVE XRF-G sorting machine is mainly used for the separation of leaded and ceramic (heat resistant) glass. The glass is analysed and valued on the basis of its chemical compounds by X-Ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy. During the process, the system searches for certain elements like Titanium, Zinc, Zirconium or Lead. Identifying these elements enables a precise categorization of the infeed material. Undesired parts can be reliably detected and separated from the main stream. This sorting machine was developed in collaboration with the American company Olympus Innov-X-Systems, who specialize in X-Ray Fluorecence Technology.
Sensor systems:
EDXRF Spectrometers
Machine data:
- Sorting width: 760 - 1370mm
- Capacity: up to 28 t/hr (depending on the tasks and cullet size)
Advantages:
- Separation of ceramic glass and leaded glass in a single machine in a single sorting process
- Even if the glass is heavily contaminated, reliable separation is guaranteed
